Now in its 7th year, the Fastnet Short Film Festival takes the eclectic buzz in the village up a notch or two.
Renowned for being the “Film Festival with no Cinema”, various shops, pubs and restaurants around Schull are transformed by creative festival volunteers into mini cinemas to screen short films that are submitted from around the world.
You will see lots of these T-shirts around – red for volunteers…ask them for help/news/tips…and turquoise for everyone else!
There are also notable guests attending, giving their time to contribute to discussions and workshops, as well as a selection of mainstream movies – usually with those who contributed to their making in attendance.
The festival runs from Wednesday 20th May to Sunday 24th May.
