Schull Regatta 2015

8th & 9th August, 2015

This year Schull Regatta falls on the 8th and 9th of August. A super Revival Regatta last year means the organizers are building on their success are hoping for an even bigger event.  Already speculation is rife, who will take the title in the Tug of war in 2015! Start practising folks, will Smokey and the Bandits do it again…. and will the reigning champion of the Greasy Pole Joe Bailey be up against it this year.

Its all lined up.. the swing boats, obstacle bouncy castles, Zorb Ball Soccer, swimming races, crab fishing. A fancy dress parade in the company of the Ballingeary Pipers, the theme this year is Pirates, Mermaids and Sea Creatures open to adults and children . Of course we will have “The Pier” market on Sunday, (still stall space available) a fantastic band Bog The Donkey will play on the Main Street from 7pm after the prize giving on Sunday night, then we will go out with a bang with an amazing fireworks (generously sponsored by Rose & Sean O’Driscoll) display from the Pier head. What more could you want.. It’s a fantastic weekend of family entertainment to look forward to.
